questionnaire entry: mca, evil design !!!

we got some answers for our questionnaire from mca, evil design. he is one of our favorite artists so here are his complete answers. you can also visit the questionnaire to read a narrowed version of his answers.

1. who is your favorite western toy artist/designer
i am a fan of kaws’ toys, there are still a few i need to get that are new favs: orig dissected & pushead collab silver or green. the original companion all black version was the 1st ‘toy’ of this type i ever bought – i got it when he did his show at the new museum & i def second guessed spending $100 on it, esp when i was not rockin it p.diddy style in the wallet. i also like pushead’s stuff, i am a fan of james jarvis (still need zombie set), i like the toys bwana spoons has been doing & le merde’s stuff is awesome. this is just a partial – off the top of my head list... will neckface ever make a super demon toy..?

2. who is your favorite eastern toy artist/designer
michael lau has a great style – i am mad i didn’t grab the hip hop lam dog star set when i had the chance & that new hamburger guy he did w/xlarge looks awesome. i am a big fan of dehara, his stuff is sick & he has a great style. the secret base & gargamel figures are pretty mean too... i hope to see more toys by junko mizuno. a lot of bathing ape stuff is not for me, but i do like the orig. baby milo figures. one of my fav characters is bemon the pollution monster (i need to get one!)

3. who is your favorite toy manufacturer
the fine company that makes the evil ape: toy2r! they have been great to work with.

4. what was your favorite toy for 2006
i think dissected kaws orig version, that’s the 1st thing that popped in my head.. i dunno

5. your most anticipated toys for 2007
the new project planned with toy2r i will be doing...

6. the most expensive toy you ever owned !!!
i don’t spend a lot on toys these days, so i figure the most expensive i own would be the all black signed first kaws companion from bounty hunter – i think kids are still willing to pay a pretty penny or two for that one..

7. what is your favorite toy/blog/site
i like going to vinyl mesh because they have a full line up of good ones.. other that that i like super touch blog, the glob, wooster collective, arkitip intelligence, your bare blog is a new one to me – so i check it out too, fuct’s blog is good – he is a classic, some of my fav t-shirts are the orig fuct ones, i wore my goodfellas & my traci lords xfuct shirts until they pretty much fell apart – i’d like to see mr. brunetti do his own like of insane planet of the apes toys.
